Calcium Shortage

I thought I was eating healthy, but DietPower showed me I could do a lot better. For instance:
  • I found I wasn't eating enough calories. I'm not fat and don't care to lose weight, but I was eating under 1200 calories per day without realizing it!
  • I thought I was getting enough calcium. WRONG! I was getting only 50 percent of my daily requirement. I've since purchased a calcium supplement.
  • I learned that my folate and B12 supplements were unnecessary—I was already getting enough from my food.
  • My fat intake on my first day accounted for 32 percent of my calories! Now it is around 20 percent.
So now I can FINALLY balance my diet. This program is tremendous. I've started a wave at our office. If you need a sales rep, let me know!

Doctored Recipes

So far, I've lost 53 pounds with DietPower. I'm also using the program to monitor my nutrients and fiber. After a "bad" day I can figure out a "great" day to counteract it—and it takes me so little time. I use the Recipe Box to change ingredients in family recipes until they're lower in fat. I love your software, and I'll update you when I lose my next 50 pounds!

Amazingly Easy

DietPower showed me that I consistently don't get enough potassium. Meanwhile, I also learned that I do get enough calcium from my food, and don't need to take calcium supplements. The program is amazingly easy to use.

Truly Helpful

I love the fact that you can track all the important nutrients, and not just fat, carbs, and the one or two others that lesser programs track. I love the calorie bank, the nutrient summary, the WaterMinder, the daily adjustment of my calorie budget, the ease of use, the progress charts, the exercise tracker, the help features, the ability to right-click on nutrients to go directly to a page telling why that nutrient is important.

I also love the daily Nutrition Quotient (NQ). Today I had too much sodium, for example, so I just edited a recipe to reduce its salt content. I also drank more water this evening to meet my recommended daily allowance.

Thanks you for making this a truly helpful resource for maintaining good health!

Wakeup Call

The Nutrition Quotient (NQ) is a real wake-up call about what we ingest, mostly regarding sodium and fat. I don't use added salt, but seems too many foods are rife with it.

Muscle Builder

DietPower allows me keep my nutrients in balance. The program alerted me to a shortage of fiber and potassium, for example. As a weight lifter, I also need increased protein to build muscle. Whenever DietPower shows that my diet lacks something, I eat a food or take a supplement that provides what is missing.
