Which Diet Fitness Software is Best?

General Approach
Good diet fitness software takes a diary approach: You log your meals and physical activities each day, and the program keeps track of your net intake of calories and other nutrients and how this compares with your budget and the Recommended Dietary Allowances for your age, sex, size, and reproductive state. The program should also deposit uneaten calories in a “bank” that you can draw on later for extra eating.
It should also let you log meals on future dates and show you their calorie and nutrient makeup, so that you can use these as menus.
Food Data
Make sure the software you’re evaluating covers at least 20,000 foods, including fast foods or ethnic foods, if those are of special interest to you. In addition, it should cover at least the 13 nutrients required on food labels -- and better yet, 20 or 30 more.
